CISD Food Services
Our CISD Food Services Staff looks forward to serving your child this year. The information provided below is intended to help you become more familiar with our program and address some frequently asked questions. If, at any time, you have additional questions or concerns, please feel free to speak to Mrs. Amy Bentley Row, Director of Child Nutrition at 940-665-0540, ext. # 13
Menus - Our Breakfast and Lunch menus are designed to meet all requirements of the USDA’s National School Lunch and School Breakfast Programs. Moreover, we offer menu items that have a high degree of acceptance by students. Menus are planned on a four-week rotating cycle. Each month, menus will be posted on the school web site.
- Meal Service - We offer both breakfast and lunch to all students in the district. Elementary breakfast is $1.10 and lunch is $2.55. Middle School/High School breakfast is $1.25 and lunch is $2.85.
- Pre-Payment of Meals - Parents are encouraged to place money in their child's account to reduce the need for carrying cash, which can be lost or stolen. You may send a check or cash with your child or utilize our electronic payment option.
- A La Carte Items – We offer snack items that may be purchased in addition to a meal. A la carte items meet the standards for USDA Smart Snacks. If you do not want your child to use his/her money for these purchases, please make arrangements with your child's cafeteria manager to block their account.
- Charge Policy- Students in grades PK-12 with a negative balance will be allowed to charge up to a total of $20.00 for regular breakfast or lunch meals but will not be allowed to buy or charge a la carte items. If a student reaches the charge limit, he/she will be provided with an alternative meal at lunch.
On behalf of all Food Services employees, thank you for the opportunity to serve your child.
Amy Bentley-Row,
Director of Child Nutrition
